HEAL THYSELF
A Special 6-week Stress Reduction Program for Physicians
This educationally and experientially oriented program is specifically designed for physicians feeling stress in their daily lives. These challenges can be met in many ways ranging from resentment, anger, confusion, and apathy to possible equanimity and inner peace. We will learn that it is how one reacts and responds to stress that makes all the difference.
Each session consist of instruction in mindfulness meditation, gentle mindful stretches, and group discussion. Physicians will learn practical stress management techniques to care for themselves as well as learn how to apply these methods for patients and family members.
Physicians will learn to:
- Reduce stress
- Reduce fatigue
- Improve concentration
- Improve efficiency
- Have more energy
- To be "Present" in mind and body
