Mindful Parenting: Finding Grace Amidst the Chaos

Do you find the combination of living, parenting and working in or out of the home stressful? Do you have many loads of laundry, at times late office hours, and a rushed schedule making you feel a little irritable and a bit crazy? Do you find yourself thinking, "…if only I were a better Mother (Father)"? Would you like to minimize the effects of daily stress on you and your children? Would you like to find some grace amidst the chaos? Mindfulness–Based Stress Reduction is an ideal antidote to the stresses of life in the Valley. In this course we will use the practice of Midnfulness to explore the territory of parenting. You will get a sense of how applying Mindfulness to the complex, sometimes overwhelming responsibilities of daily life with children might actually allow for grace amidst the chaos.

Mindfulness Meditation Program for Children

It’s hard to believe that children experience stress until you remember what it’s like to grow up. Death of a pet, divorce, a friend’s moving, a new school, test scores, being on time, competing, popularity. Children stress over many of the same things adults do yet they often have little opportunity to learn healthy strategies to cope with their feelings.

Mindfulness is the practice of mind/body awareness and develops the potential to experience each moment, no matter how difficult or intense, with balance and clarity. Our children’s programs have been very successful. Please have your children learn mindfulness in a really fun and gentle way.
